Healbane is a 1,600-soul vitality item. Any spirit damage you deal applies a 35% healing reduction for 8 seconds, and if an enemy hero dies while it’s on them, you get a heal. It’s the standard early answer to heroes and items that heal.

When to buy Healbane#
- The enemy has a healer or a self-healing brawler — the counter pages list the heroes whose kits heal.
- You deal spirit damage regularly: Healbane only applies on spirit damage, not on bullets.
- Early-to-mid game, before you can afford bigger anti-heal like Decay or Toxic Bullets.
When to skip it#
- You deal almost all of your damage with bullets — Toxic Bullets (weapon) does the same job through your gun.
- Nobody on the enemy team heals much. The stat alone is weak for the price.
What it doesn’t do#
- It doesn’t stop healing — it reduces it. Healing that lands before your damage is unaffected.
- Since 30 Oct 2026, several Healbanes on one target stack with diminishing returns, so a whole team buying it gets less than you’d expect.

Does Healbane stack with Toxic Bullets?
Yes. The two come from different items and stack — the wiki lists a combined reduction of about 55%.
Does Healbane work with bullets?
No. It’s applied by spirit damage. Weapon-focused builds should look at Toxic Bullets instead.
