Deadman Danny’s main threat#

Deadman Danny, Deadlock hero

Deadman Danny is a skirmisher: fights on the move, trading damage in and out of combat.

The kit is hybrid-leaning, so a mix of bullet and spirit defence do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Strix Salvo ability icon

Ability 1

Strix Salvo

Fires a line of spirit missiles that lodge in the ground and explode after a delay or when an enemy is detected. A charged shot on a marked enemy consumes the mark for bonus damage and a slow.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Chimera Mk1 ability icon

Ability 2

Chimera Mk1

A jetpack flight that builds heat; overheating turns it into a dive that explodes on impact and launches nearby enemies.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Jettison Fuel ability icon

Ability 3

Jettison Fuel

Sprays fuel that deals weapon damage over time and lowers bullet resist, then a backblast deals spirit damage and knocks Danny backward.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Close The Deal ability icon

Ultimate

Close The Deal

Grabs an enemy, flies them up and slams them down, dealing damage during the fall and on impact; more damage against enemies below half health.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.
