Ivy’s main threat#

Ivy, Deadlock hero

Ivy is a support: keeps allies alive and makes them stronger, while still contributing damage.

The kit is hybrid-leaning, so a mix of bullet and spirit defence do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Entangling Thorns ability icon

Ability 1

Entangling Thorns

Summons a patch of choking thorns that damages and slows enemies inside it. Enemies held long enough can be immobilized.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Kudzu Connection ability icon

Ability 2

Kudzu Connection

Links Ivy to a nearby ally, sharing fire rate, bullet lifesteal, replicated healing and movement speed bonuses.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Stone Form ability icon

Ability 3

Stone Form

Ivy turns into stone and slams the ground, damaging and stunning nearby enemies while healing her.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Air Drop ability icon

Ultimate

Air Drop

Ivy grabs an ally and flies them over the battlefield, then drops them to explode among enemies — or carries them out of danger.

General answers are our editorial reading of the kit. Counter items only help if you’re the one being hit — buy for the threat you actually face.

How to beat Ivy#

Mistakes to avoid

  • Ignoring them — an untouched support makes every enemy harder to kill.
  • Fighting long, drawn-out battles against their healing.
