Victor’s main threat#

Victor, Deadlock hero

Victor is a brawler: starts and survives close-range fights, soaking damage while dealing plenty back.

The kit is spirit-leaning, so spirit resistance and spirit shields do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Pain Battery ability icon

Ability 1

Pain Battery

Taking damage passively charges this ability. Once full, it fires shocking bolts that deal spirit damage to each target once.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.

Jumpstart ability icon

Ability 2

Jumpstart

Victor shocks himself for spirit self-damage, then gains bonus health regeneration and move speed that fade over time.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Aura of Suffering ability icon

Ability 3

Aura of Suffering

Channels an aura that damages nearby enemies and Victor himself over time; the damage ramps up the longer it's channelled.

Play around it Respect its range and cooldown; fight when it’s been used.

Shocking Reanimation ability icon

Ultimate

Shocking Reanimation

After taking lethal damage, Victor releases a slowing wave, then revives after a brief channel, stunning nearby enemies.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

General answers are our editorial reading of the kit. Counter items only help if you’re the one being hit — buy for the threat you actually face.

How to beat Victor#

  • Dispel Magic can remove Aura of Suffering's effects.
  • Stay out of Aura of Suffering's radius.
  • Bait out Shocking Reanimation before committing — it purges debuffs and Victor is invincible while channelling.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Fighting them head-on in a narrow space.
  • Spending all your burst while their defensive ability is up.
