How the comparison works

• Items, categories, prices and active/passive types come from our full item list (156 shop items plus the Street Brawl legendaries, which have no shop price).
• Total souls adds up every shop item’s price. Upgrades in Deadlock discount the component’s cost, so the real spend can be lower if one item builds into another.
• Category split shows how many souls go into weapon, vitality and spirit items — the clearest single signal of what a build is trying to do.
• Playstyle read is rule-based: it describes the category balance, tier spread and number of actives, and checks it against the selected hero’s damage lean.

Exact item stats change almost every patch, so we compare prices, categories and roles rather than per-item numbers — the in-game tooltip is the authority on values.
