Nurse Harrow’s main threat#

Nurse Harrow, Deadlock hero

Nurse Harrow is a support: keeps allies alive and makes them stronger, while still contributing damage.

The kit is spirit-leaning, so spirit resistance and spirit shields do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Leech Therapy ability icon

Ability 1

Leech Therapy

Throws a jar of leeches that attach to enemies, dealing spirit damage over time and draining their buff durations. She can later collect the leeches to heal and gain regeneration and fire rate.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Wretched Vapors ability icon

Ability 2

Wretched Vapors

Releases a vapor onto herself or an ally that grants a speed rush while deferring incoming damage as specters. When it wears off, a slowing crash makes the specters deal their damage plus extra.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Healing Needles ability icon

Ability 3

Healing Needles

Loads her weapon with syringes that heal allies on hit. Dealing damage restores charges, and collected leeches slowly restore them as well.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.

Lurking Terrors ability icon

Ultimate

Lurking Terrors

A channel that deals spirit damage over time to enemies in front of her. Enemies who see her build fear until they flee; enemies facing away take reduced damage.

Play around it Respect its range and cooldown; fight when it’s been used.

General answers are our editorial reading of the kit. Counter items only help if you’re the one being hit — buy for the threat you actually face.

How to beat Nurse Harrow#

  • Healbane is a commonly suggested item against her healing.
  • Warden is immune to fear while Last Stand is active.
  • Ethereal Shift does not block Specter Crash damage.
  • Debuff Resist does not reduce the Specter Crash debuff.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Ignoring them — an untouched support makes every enemy harder to kill.
  • Fighting long, drawn-out battles against their healing.
