How the matchup explorer works

Pick two heroes. Everything shown comes from data we already publish on each hero’s guide and counter guide:

• Abilities — names and plain-language descriptions of all four abilities.
• Role and damage lean — our editorial labels, used to explain what each hero wants to do and which defensive stats matter against them.
• Counter items — items marked Kit note come straight from documented interactions with that hero’s kit; items marked Rule are general answers we suggest because the kit heals or disables.
• Kit tags — a keyword scan of the ability text (stuns, slows, healing, mobility and so on). It’s a quick summary, not a substitute for reading the abilities.

What it doesn’t show: win rates or “who beats who” percentages. We don’t have verified matchup statistics, so we don’t invent them.

Game data checked 27 Oct 2026. Hero kits and counter notes come from the same data as our hero and counter guides; roles and damage leans are our editorial labels, not official Valve classes. This tool runs entirely on this website — it does not connect to the game, Steam or your match history.
