Mo & Krill’s main threat#

Mo & Krill, Deadlock hero

Mo & Krill is a brawler: starts and survives close-range fights, soaking damage while dealing plenty back.

The kit is spirit-leaning, so spirit resistance and spirit shields do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Scorn ability icon

Ability 1

Scorn

Damages nearby enemies and heals the duo based on damage dealt, more against heroes. It passes through walls and floors and can be cast during most actions.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Burrow ability icon

Ability 2

Burrow

Tunnels underground for speed and armour against bullets and spirit damage. Jumping out damages, slows and knocks up nearby enemies.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Sand Blast ability icon

Ability 3

Sand Blast

Sprays a fast sand projectile forward that disarms and damages enemies it hits.

Play around it Silence or disarm — keep a cleanse (Dispel Magic) or Debuff Reducer if this is landing on you every fight.

Combo ability icon

Ultimate

Combo

Holds a target in place, stunning them and dealing damage over the channel. Killing the target grants permanent bonus max health.

How to beat Mo & Krill#

  • Burrow is not disabled by Slowing Hex.
  • Melee can still hit the duo while burrowed.
  • Knockdown affects them while burrowed.
  • Phantom Strike can still reach them while burrowed.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Fighting them head-on in a narrow space.
  • Spending all your burst while their defensive ability is up.
