Silver’s main threat#

Silver, Deadlock hero

Silver is a carry: scales into the most dangerous gun on the map with items.

The kit is weapon-leaning, so bullet resistance and weapon shields do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Slam Fire ability icon

Ability 1

Slam Fire

Instantly reloads and grants bonus fire rate and weapon damage for a limited number of shots, at the cost of accuracy.

Play around it Respect its range and cooldown; fight when it’s been used.

Boot Kick ability icon

Ability 2

Boot Kick

Dashes forward to kick the first enemy hit, pushing you both apart and marking them so your next shot deals bonus spirit damage.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.

Entangling Bola ability icon

Ability 3

Entangling Bola

Throws a bola that deals spirit damage, slows the target and blocks movement abilities and stamina use.

Play around it Defensive window — stop shooting into it, reposition, and burst when it ends.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Lycan Curse ability icon

Ultimate

Lycan Curse

Builds bloodlust from damage to heroes, then transforms Silver into a werewolf with bonus health and fire rate and a new set of abilities and weapon.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Counter items, with reasons#

    Vitality · 1,600 souls

    Cheap protection against weapon-leaning damage.

  • Bullet Resilience item icon

    Bullet Resilience

    Vitality · 3,200 souls

Resistance that keeps paying off as the game goes on.

General answers are our editorial reading of the kit. Counter items only help if you’re the one being hit — buy for the threat you actually face.

How to beat Silver#

  • Dispel Magic removes Entangling Bola.
  • Unstoppable prevents Boot Kick's displacement and Bola's crowd control.
  • Slowing Hex disables Boot Kick.
  • Debuff Resist shortens Entangling Bola.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Letting them farm undisturbed in the early game.
  • Fighting them late with no bullet resistance.
