Watching your replays#
Deadlock keeps a match history in the client, and recent matches can be watched back from there. Exact menu names change between updates — look for your profile or match history and choose a recent match to watch.
Menus move between updates
We describe the general flow rather than exact button names, because the client UI changes often in the beta.
Using replays to improve#
- Watch your deaths first: where were you, where was the enemy, and what did they use?
- Check your lane phase: how many soul orbs did you miss or let the enemy deny?
- Watch one fight from a teammate’s view to see what information you missed.
- Pick one thing to fix per session rather than everything at once.

Spectating friends#
Spectating depends on what the client currently offers for live matches. Check your friend list and the watch options in the client; availability can depend on match type.
Fixing replay errors#
- Replay won’t load after an update: replays are tied to the game version they were recorded on, so older replays often stop working after a patch.
- Replay not available yet: wait a few minutes after the match ends.
- Download fails: check your connection and try again later.
