Mirage’s main threat#

Mirage, Deadlock hero

Mirage is a skirmisher: fights on the move, trading damage in and out of combat.

The kit is hybrid-leaning, so a mix of bullet and spirit defence do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Fire Scarabs ability icon

Ability 1

Fire Scarabs

Infests an enemy with scarabs that steal their life and reduce the damage they deal. Reapplying only refreshes the duration.

Play around it Healing or sustain — buy healing reduction (Healbane, Toxic Bullets or Decay) so it’s worth less, and focus burst damage rather than chip damage.

Dust Devil ability icon

Ability 2

Dust Devil

Turns Mirage into a whirlwind that rushes forward, damaging, lifting and slowing enemies. Emerging grants a window of bullet evasion.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Djinn's Mark ability icon

Ability 3

Djinn's Mark

His shots apply marks that deal spirit damage and reveal the target when they expire or are consumed; each mark multiplies the damage. Activating it consumes all marks at once.

Play around it Respect its range and cooldown; fight when it’s been used.

Traveler ability icon

Ultimate

Traveler

Pick a spot on the minimap and teleport there after a short wait. Taking damage, stuns, immobilizes and sleep can interrupt it.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.
