Bebop’s main threat#

Bebop, Deadlock hero

Bebop is a initiator: creates the opening that wins the fight — usually by pulling or locking down one target.

The kit is spirit-leaning, so spirit resistance and spirit shields do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Exploding Uppercut ability icon

Ability 1

Exploding Uppercut

Launches nearby enemies into the air with knockback and melee damage. Targets that land deal spirit damage and slow the fire rate of other nearby enemies.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Sticky Bomb ability icon

Ability 2

Sticky Bomb

Attaches a bomb to a nearby target that explodes after a short delay for spirit damage. Hitting or killing heroes with it grants permanent bonus bomb damage stacks.

Play around it Respect its range and cooldown; fight when it’s been used.

Grapple Arm ability icon

Ability 3

Grapple Arm

Fires a mechanical hand that pulls the first character it hits toward Bebop. It also works on allies.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Hyper Beam ability icon

Ultimate

Hyper Beam

Channels a long energy beam that deals spirit damage over time and slows enemies in its path. Bebop stays airborne while it is active.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

  • A purged Sticky Bomb drops to the ground but still explodes.
  • Debuff Reducer shortens Hyper Beam's lingering slow.
  • Indomitable prevents Grapple Arm's disable; Unstoppable suppresses its crowd control.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Walking into fog or around corners first.
  • Grouping tightly where one catch hits several of you.
