Crosshair settings explained#
Deadlock’s crosshair options sit with the other HUD settings. The usual controls are size, gap, thickness, colour and opacity, plus whether to show a dot. Which looks best is personal, but a few principles help:
- Contrast first. Pick a colour that stands out against both dark streets and bright effects.
- Small gap for precision heroes, slightly larger for spread weapons such as shotguns.
- Keep it thin. A thick crosshair hides small, distant targets.

Sharing crosshair codes#
The City Never Sleeps update (29 Sep 2026) added shareable settings codes: you can copy a code for your reticle or keybind setup, share it, and apply someone else’s with a preview and undo. Many settings are now saved per hero and sync to the cloud.
To use a code, open the reticle settings, choose the import or apply option and paste the code. Preview it in the sandbox before your next match.
Building your own#
- Start from the default and change one thing at a time.
- Test in the sandbox against moving bots at different ranges.
- Check it in a bright scene and a dark one.
- Once it feels right, save it as a code so you can restore it after an update.
Why no code gallery?
We only publish codes we’ve tested on the current client, and we don’t copy other people’s codes without credit. A tested gallery will be added here.
