Violet’s main threat#

Violet, Deadlock hero

Violet is a controller: shapes where fights happen with zones, walls, traps and disables.

The kit is hybrid-leaning, so a mix of bullet and spirit defence do the most to blunt it.

Abilities to play around#

Living Ink ability icon

Ability 1

Living Ink

Empowers her next few bullets so they can be steered in flight, adding bullet damage and a small spirit splash. Alt-fire paints a solid ink wall that blocks projectiles and characters.

Play around it Mobility — it’s also the escape. Don’t chase it into their team; force it out first, then commit. Slowing Hex shuts down many movement abilities.

Play around it Defensive window — stop shooting into it, reposition, and burst when it ends.

Flow State ability icon

Ability 2

Flow State

Sends a brush forward that leaves a trail, boosting ally slide distance and slowing and damaging enemies it passes. Reactivating flicks the brush for a wider burst.

Play around it Slows — Enduring Speed and Debuff Reducer help you walk out of it.

Still Life ability icon

Ability 3

Still Life

Channels on a chosen hero, dealing spirit damage while Violet keeps them in view. Completing the sketch adds damage and a stun and drops a pickup with permanent stats.

Play around it Disable or displacement — this is what starts kills. Track its cooldown and punish the window after it’s used; Debuff Reducer shortens it, and Unstoppable or Indomitable answer the biggest ones.

Abstract Landscape ability icon

Ultimate

Abstract Landscape

Creates a circular ink enclosure that blocks vision and grants allies spirit power. Enemies inside are revealed and punished with damage, silence and slow when they leave.

Play around it Defensive window — stop shooting into it, reposition, and burst when it ends.

Play around it Silence or disarm — keep a cleanse (Dispel Magic) or Debuff Reducer if this is landing on you every fight.

  • Break line of sight during Still Life.
  • Don't linger inside Abstract Landscape.
  • Living Ink shots can't headshot.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Fighting inside their zones and walls.
