Can you play Deadlock on Mac?#
Not officially. Deadlock is listed for Windows on Steam, and there’s no macOS version or announced plan for one as of 27 Oct 2026.
Options people try#
- Boot Camp (Intel Macs only): installing Windows on an older Intel Mac runs the game natively under Windows. Apple Silicon Macs can’t use Boot Camp.
- Translation layers (CrossOver, Whisky, GPTK): they can run some Windows games on Apple Silicon, but online games with anti-cheat and frequent updates often break or run poorly.
- Cloud gaming: only possible if a service you use supports Deadlock — check before paying.
Watch out for “Deadlock for Mac” downloads
There is no Mac download from Valve. Sites offering one are unofficial at best and malware at worst.
What we’ve tested#
We haven’t tested any Mac workaround. If you have one working reliably, tell us what Mac, macOS version and method you used.
