The Broker has left regular matches
The Broker was a limited-time part of the City Never Sleeps launch. He left the game when the first new hero, Rat King, arrived on 2 October 2026, and corrupted items were removed from Street Brawl on 4 October.
What the Broker was#
- A merchant with no fixed location who traded your high-tier items for corrupted versions.
- His first stock appeared around the 30-minute mark and restocked roughly every 15 minutes while supplies lasted.
- In Street Brawl, every player got a corrupted item after the round 5 draft, until that was removed.
How corrupted items worked#
A corrupted item kept the original item’s strengths with boosted stats, but each match gave every corrupted item a random drawback from a set list. The bonus and drawback varied slightly between matches, but were the same for every player in the same match.
Will it come back?#
Valve hasn’t said. Limited-time systems sometimes return in later events. If it does, this page will be updated with the date and source. Meanwhile, the permanent shop is listed in all Deadlock items.
