Holliday is a sharpshooting hero who uses a lasso and explosives to set up fights, then finishes foes with her heirloom revolver.

§02Holliday’s abilities explained#

Holliday has three regular abilities and an ultimate. Ability names and behaviour below were checked on 27 Oct 2026; numbers are left out on purpose because they change with almost every patch — the in-game tooltip shows the current values.

Ability 1

Powder Keg

Throws a barrel that explodes after a delay, dealing spirit damage, setting enemies on fire and knocking them up. Shooting or meleeing the barrel detonates it early.

Ability 2

Bounce Pad

Drops a pad that launches any hero into the air; landing causes an explosion that damages nearby enemies. Allies also gain a move speed boost on landing.

Ability 3

Crackshot

Headshots deal bonus weapon damage and apply a fading slow, but only while the ability is off cooldown. It ignores range falloff.

Ultimate

Spirit Lasso

Throws a lasso that deals spirit damage, pulls the target toward Holliday and stuns them. Using a Bounce Pad extends its duration.

§03How to play Holliday#

Hold high ground and long sightlines, and keep moving between shots. You're strongest behind a front line; if you're the closest hero to the enemy, you're out of position.

Tips from the current kit

• Use a Bounce Pad to extend Spirit Lasso's duration.
• Alt-cast Powder Keg to place the barrel in front of Holliday.
• Overlapping Powder Keg barrels stack their burn damage.
• Jump or dash just before a Bounce Pad launch to reduce bounce height.
• Use Warp Stone right before Spirit Lasso ends to launch the enemy past you.

§04Build framework#

Weapon lean. The gun does the heavy lifting, so fire rate, ammo, weapon damage and lifesteal usually come first.

§05Ability points#

Ability unlocks come from levelling up; ability points then buy upgrade tiers. A sensible default for Holliday:

1. Unlock the ability that helps you farm or trade in lane first — for most players that’s Powder Keg or the ability you can hit most reliably.
2. Unlock all three regular abilities early so you have every tool in the first fights.
3. Unlock Spirit Lasso as soon as it’s available.
4. Put upgrade points into the ability you use most, then into whichever upgrade tier changes how an ability works (tier 3 upgrades often do).

§06Playing against Holliday#

• Slowing Hex disables Bounce Pad.
• Plated Armor prevents Crackshot's on-shot effect.
• Unstoppable suppresses CC from Powder Keg, Crackshot and Spirit Lasso.
• Dispel Magic can remove Powder Keg effects.
