Deadlock vs Overwatch#
Both are hero shooters, but Overwatch matches are short objective rounds with fixed hero kits. Deadlock adds lanes, an economy and items, so you build your hero differently each game, and matches are longer and more strategic.
Deadlock vs Marvel Rivals#
Marvel Rivals is also third-person and 6v6, with destructible maps and team-up abilities. It has no lanes or item shop. If you enjoy the hero-shooter combat but want deeper strategy and builds, Deadlock adds that layer.
Deadlock vs Dota 2#
Deadlock borrows Dota’s structure — lanes, last hits, items, a boss and towers — but you aim and move your hero directly as a shooter. It’s the closest thing to “Dota as a shooter”. See Deadlock for MOBA players.
Which is right for you?#
- Want quick matches and pure shooting? Overwatch or Marvel Rivals.
- Want deep strategy and don’t mind not aiming? Dota 2.
- Want both, and longer matches? Deadlock.
